Lawn Care
NaturePlus is here to create the greenest lawns in the Cincinnati areas – because we understand Cincinnati soils.
It has always been our goal to provide our customers with the very best lawn service they will ever have. We take this commitment to our customers very seriously. Every customer receives a free lawn analysis and soil test. A soil test is important because it allows us to know if your soil’s Ph is too high or too low. We can also see if there are any deficiencies in the soil that need to be corrected. Our treatments are followed up with a mid-season checkup to make sure your lawn looks as green and as healthy as it should.
Our Organic-Based Lawn Care Program
Below is a breakdown of our organic-based lawn care program:
Early Spring – This application consists of a balanced organic dry granular fertilizer to help wake up your lawn to a beautiful spring green
Late Spring - The spring lawn care application consists of a slow release organic based fertilizer that nourishes the lawn to help keep it healthy and green. A pre-emergent herbicide is applied to stop the germination of crabgrass seeds dropped from last years plants. The lawn will also be sprayed for springtime weeds.
Early Summer – The summer lawn care application consists of a slow release organic fertilizer plus iron to help prepare the lawn for summer stress, The lawn will also be checked for damaging insects and sprayed for weeds.
*Preventative grub control is best applied with this application at an additional price. A product called Merit is used and once applied is guaranteed for the rest of the season. This is highly recommended for bluegrass lawns.
Late Summer - The late summer lawn application consists of a slow release organic based fertilizer to help the lawn start to recover from any summer stress. The lawn is also inspected for damaging insects and sprayed for weeds.
Early Fall – This application consists of a heavy application of fertilizer. This will continue to help the lawn recover from any heat stress during the hot summer weather.
* Fall is a good time to consider core aeration for the lawn. This helps open up the lawn to let it breathe at the same time helping reduce thatch and soil compaction. Core aeration is included with our A+ program
Winterizer – The lawn winterizer application consists of another heavy application of fertilizer. This treatment will prolong the lawns green color plus it helps the plant with continuous root development.
